  2. Amy: *hugs* Thanks, my friend, and the same to you. This past week or so I've gone from being all "Ugh, I want this year to be over, life can't get worse than it did in 2011" to thinking that actually, if things were exactly the same one year from now it would be no terrible thing. I really need a job, sure, but then again I'm also healthy and have somewhere to live, and everyone I love is safe and sound and near me. I had a rough year, but there are much worse things in life than the ones I had to deal with. And with this I conclude the longest, most rambling comment you didn't really bargain for ever :P

  20. Happy New Year to you!

Love Neil Gaiman... And I loved his wishes for 2012:

"I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.

Because if you are making mistakes, then you are making new things, trying new things, learning, living, pushing yourself, changing yourself, changing your world. You're doing things you've never done before, and more importantly, you're Doing Something.

So that's my wish for you, and all of us, and my wish for myself. Make New Mistakes. Make glorious, amazing mistakes. Make mistakes nobody's ever made before. Don't freeze, don't stop, don't worry that it isn't good enough, or it isn't perfect, whatever it is: art, or love, or work or family or life.

Whatever it is you're scared of doing, Do it.

Make your mistakes, next year and forever."
