Oh, no North and South DVD I see, but Cranford instead! I have the series waiting on my shelves as well. And some great books in there as well! Gaskell! And I'm very curious about the T-shirt. And a Persephone Diary? I'm so jealous of all of your gifts..
ReplyDeleteIris, my birthday is coming up soon, so I remain hopeful about North & South :P The t-shirt is a Hark! A Vagrant t-shirt. Best webcomic ever!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Ana! Your gift pile looks amazing, enjoy :)
ReplyDeleteI love my gifts and my family finally decided to give me book vouchers, so I'll get the books I really want :D
a Merry Christmas indeed! everything looks wonderful!!! (no need to ask if you had a great christmas! lol)
ReplyDeleteI have to wait until I use my Half Price Books gift card to show my presents...hopefully I'll get a post up later this afternoon! :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful gifts Ana. I absolutely adore that tote bag!!
I love your book loot! And seriously...I WANT THAT TEE SHIRT!
ReplyDeleteYay, you got a wonderful pile of loot!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas! The t-shirt *is* fantastic. Oh Kate Beaton, she is the best -- Hark! is easily my favourite webcomic. Also, that is a lovely pile of books. Holiday reading, ahoy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pile of loot! The T-shirt and the tote bag are definitely the best! =D
ReplyDeleteWow! What a large and/or generous family you must have! Lovely to see the Persephones in there as well as the Gaskell books (I'm just starting the Uglow biography myself). A very merry Christmas indeed!
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you got some wonderful Christmas gifts - lots of books! I received a few books, my favorite is 1001 Books To Read Before You Die. A book about reading other books. You can't beat that :)
ReplyDeleteLucky girl! Books and dvds and lots of other nice things I see there:) I really enjoyed watching Cranford but will also be hoping you get to watch North & South too!
ReplyDeleteOh, you got "This Book Is Overdue"! I've been pondering whether to ILL or buy it, as I'm really curious about the book.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your gifts!
Greetings,
Tiina

ReplyDeleteNo books, but I did get a bookstore giftcard. I'm off to spend it later today.

ReplyDeleteAnd that shirt is fantastic.
I seriously loved This Book Is Overdue...I hope you do, too!
ReplyDeleteGreat loot there Ana! I'll be posting about my loot tomorrow, just in case I get anything more for my birthday! :)
ReplyDeleteLooks like you scored on books this year! I love the shirt and tote bag, too :)
ReplyDeleteOur extended family Christmases were postponed till next week due to the flu and I can't wait to see what books my mom has gotten for me...hopefully my pile will look like yours!!
ReplyDeleteYou received This Book is Overdue!! What a great stack!
ReplyDeleteVery nice loot! 'Library: An Unquiet History' sounds excellent and I've been wanting to get Henry Dunbar.
ReplyDeleteWe need a close up of that bookish t-shirt! Looks like Lizzy and Darcy?
Happy holidays!
Looks like you've got some great reading ahead of you! I love the tote bag, of course...I should get one and carry my kitten around in it ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome T-shirt!
ReplyDeleteMy lovely Christmas surprise...my partner looked at my stack during my pilgrimage to Half Price Books and said, "I'll get you those for Christmas." Hurrah!
Merry Christmas to you!
You were obviously a very good girl this year!
ReplyDeleteoooh I really wanted that Delusions of Gender book but harbored no delusions my family would get it for me, LOL. :)
ReplyDeleteGlad to see you had such a great Christmas!
I love that t-shirt! Great haul this year. :)
ReplyDeleteOooh, i'm jealous! Most of my Christmas gifts were housewarming things for my new apartment. But i did receive a Persephone subscription from my mom. She included the receipt (with a list of all the books I'll be getting), and it's taking all of my effort not to look at that list, since i want to be surprised! Merry Christmas to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Ana!
ReplyDeleteYou have a great haul there!! :D
So much goodness going in that photo..enjoy it all!
ReplyDeleteGreat piles of books! Happy reading in 2011 :)
ReplyDeleteWhat is this Delusions of Gender I behold? I do not know what it is and yet I am greatly intrigued.
ReplyDeleteGreat gifts! No books for me this year (a first, I think), but I did get a gift card. I need to use it before the TBR Dare begins.
ReplyDeleteNo books for me, but I did get a gift card from hubby. That was awfully nice of him, considering the fact that he's instructed me to empty two cabinets full of books by the end of the year. Ahem. Not happening, honey.
ReplyDeleteOooh, lots of great books! However will you decide what to read first?? This Book is Overdue is on my TBR, too!
ReplyDeleteHuge haul of books. Enjoy the reading.
ReplyDeleteBina: yay for book vouchers! Can't go wrong with those :P
ReplyDeletePat: Hehehe :D
Amanda: Isn't the bag awesome? :D
Christina: You should treat yourself to one :P
Jill: I couldn't be happier with it!
Kiirstin: Definitely one of my favourites as well!
Megan: I can't wait to wear them :D Well, not that you wear a bag :P
Claire: I think the fact that I hadn't seen them in months made them more generous this year :P I hope we'll both enjoy the Gaskell bio!
Brenna: I always browse through 1001 Books... at the bookshop. Enjoy!
Sakura: Like I was telling Iris, I still haven't lost hope :P
Tiina: I promise to read it soon and let you know :P
Stu: Thank you and likewise!
C.B. James: You'll have to let us know what you got!
Clare: I bet it'll be great to motivate me about library school all over again (not that I'm no longer motivated, just slightly overwhelmed by all the work).
Jill: I think I will!
Darren: Happy birthday! Can't wait to see your loot :)
Emily Jame: Now the only problem is how to fit everything in my bags when I go back :P
Pepperminth Ph.D: I hope it does! And I hope you'll get well soon.
ReplyDeleteVasilly: I can't wait to read it!
Mae: It's a Hark! A Vagrant shirt - the link shows a larger picture.
Cass: I wonder what your kitten would think of that ;)
Kate: Awesome surprise :D
Kathy: I tried my best :P
Amy: lol :P I hope you'll get it some other time, though!
Heidenkind: Best haul ever :D
Katherine: A Persephone subscription! What a wonderful gift!
Melody: Thank you and likewise!
Staci: I will :D
Amy: Thank you! You too!
Jenny: Fine is a neuroscientist, and the book debunks all the supposed insurmountable brain differences that makes women better fitted to cooking and ironing and men to shooting stuff, or something :P I have a feeling I'm going to have a lot of fun with it.
JoAnn and Nancy: Let us know what you got with your gift cards!
Emily: I know! It's quite a dilemma :P
Mystica: I will, thank you!
Unbelievable ...so much book loot! I see several I'd love as well.
ReplyDeleteOh my! That's a great haul, Ana and I am so thrilled for you! I hope that you enjoy them all!
ReplyDeleteHow are you ever going to decide what to read first?!! Of course I'm guessing you won't be able to take most of these lovely books with you, will you? Perhaps you can box them up and mail them to yourself before you head back. :P
ReplyDeleteI'm just so very happy you had a wonderful Christmas, Ana!!!!
Love you!!!!
I see Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day there! :)
ReplyDeleteYou got some awesome loot.
So yes, which book are you reading first? I bet it's going to be hard to decide which one to jump into!
I have that same volume of Poor Miss Finch waiting to be read! Besides it being Collins, it has the bonus of being SHORT....(shortER at least).
ReplyDeleteAs I told you on Twitter, I will be coming to steal your new tote bag. So: constant vigilance and all that.
ReplyDeleteDiana: Now to decide what to read first... :P
ReplyDeleteZibilee: I hope I do too!
Debi: The company I'm flying with has no weight restriction when it comes to hand luggage. It's amazing how many books you can fit into a small bag if you try hard enough ;)
Iliana: I'm so looking forward to watching the Miss Pettigrew movie! And I think I'm going to start by reading Delusions of Gender. I'm so excited about reading that one!
Rebecca: I thought the exact same when I saw the book. Not that I don't enjoy Collins' chunksters, but you know what I mean :P
Memory: I shall hide it so well you will NEVER find it, mwahahahahaha.
Enjoy all of your lovely gifts!
ReplyDeleteMy dear, that is definitely a loot! Lucky girl :)
ReplyDeleteWow, looks like you made out like a bandit. ;) Happy reading!
ReplyDeleteWonderful gifts, Ana! Sorry I haven't been visiting for a while. I hope things will become normal for me and I'm glad I managed to catch up with all of you during the holidays.
