Just a very brief note...

Book Bloggers Holiday Swap
...to let you know that sign-ups for this year's Book Blogger's Holiday Swap are now open. If you want to participate, make sure you hurry up - you have until November 14 to sign up. After three years of hosting the swap I had to bow out this year, as my life is a little too hectic at the moment to allow me to work on a project this time-consuming. Fortunately, some of my lovely co-hosts from last year - Amanda, Amy, Jen, Jen, Kelly, Lenore, Lena and Nicole - volunteered to take over, and they have come up with some excellent ideas to minimise lost or otherwise missing gifts and make sure everyone has a great swap experience. I can't wait to find out who my "Santee" will be!

  2. Debating this. Never participated but I love the idea. I did sign up for a holiday card swap, though.

I hope you're doing well, Ana. I really enjoyed your Guy Fawkes day pictures as well as the ones from York (I'm guessing they're all from York?). Scott's favorite movie is V for Vendetta so I had to share with him that you went to some celebrations (he was pretty dang jealous).

Have a lovely week, my dear.

  3. Trish, I hope you do join in! Every year I keep hoping you will :P The last few pictures are all from York, but the ones from Guy Fawkes day are actually from a park near my house. As for V for Vendetta, I've yet to either watch or read it but I need to do both! I hope you have a lovely week as well :)

  4. Thanks for the honorable mention!

We definitely miss you this year but I'm glad you're participating and getting your school stuff done.

I signed up mostly to run away from school :P Well, at least to have scheduled time away from homework.

  6. I signed up, because I felt like I got to know three people through this exchange last year--the person I sent a gift to, and the two who conspired to send me a very thoughtful gift!
Also, I love the movie V for Vendetta.

  13. This looks wonderful Ana!

And as for 'V for Vendetta' - it is one of my favourite graphic novels. The story is wonderful and the artwork is awesome. I hope you do get to read it and like it. I remember you having it in your bookshelf and thinking of whether to carry it with you or not. Did you carry it? :)

  15. I hope those of you considering participating this year will, though at the same time I completely understand that money doesn't stretch! Vishy, sadly I didn't get to bring V for Vendetta with me, but I'm going home for Christmas in a little over a month and I'll be sure to read it then :)
