Graphic Novels Challenge 2010

Apologies for the double post today - this is just a brief note to let you know that my friend Chris and I are hosting the Graphic Novels Challenge in 2010, and that the sign-up post is now up. Laza, this year's host, was kind enough to let us use the same challenge blog, so that's where we're doing the sign-ups and will be posting most challenge-related stuff in the future. Click over for all the info you need, and also for a chance to help us with a question we've been debating.
We've made the challenge really easy - the Beginners level only requires you to read 3 comics/graphic novels in 2010. That's nothing! You could finish it in one afternoon! Come on - you know you want to join.

You guys are both awesome for hosting this!! I have to find new GNs. I read nearly all the ones on my wishlist already...
ReplyDeleteCount me in! Cannot wait to join!
ReplyDeleteI've been wondering when y'all would announce this! Now I just need to find some great POC graphic novels, lol. Incognegro and Bayou were both awesome...must find more!
ReplyDeleteThis is so great you guys! I am emailing Sandy at "You Gotta Read This" with the link. She keeps talking about wanting to sign up for a graphic novel challenge!
ReplyDeleteYay! Yay! Yay!! My post is up too :D I'm so excited to be hosting this with you :D
ReplyDeleteWell, since you twisted my arm!! Sounds like fun and an easy challenge that I can actually finish!!
ReplyDeleteYou're right...I do want to! :D
ReplyDeleteI thought of Sandy too, Gavin. LOL
ReplyDeleteYeah I've been whining for awhile. I was actually getting a little worried that it wasn't going to happen, and I would feel obligated to do it. I have my list, and I'm going to add it to my third challenge post for next weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'll be joining this one, too. Will get to some challenge posts soon.
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome, Nymeth (and Chris)! :)
ReplyDeleteWill have to look out for more graphic novels! :D
I take full responsibility for this post due to my twitter inquiry...now to just make my list...
ReplyDeleteOh yes, I definitely want to join, I will go to the library here tomm to see what they have :)
ReplyDeleteI would appreciate a few sugs for a Graphic Novel to pitch to a book club of teachers who frowned when I said "let's do a GN?!" They've all read persepolis and maus...
ReplyDeletethanks!!!
This will be a fun one, I look forward to it! Probably just the excuse I need to re-read Bone, as well as dive in to my large stack of graphic novels that I have yet to read!
ReplyDeleteI would love to join this, but I really could do with a list of suggestions to help.
ReplyDeleteI'm thrilled to see that there's so much interest - yay!
ReplyDeleteCare and Vivienne, we're preparing a mega list of reading suggestions to be posted before the end of the year...more on that soon! :D
Hmmm...I'd be in dire need of that suggestions list, though I have sworn to read Persepolis. Count me interested. It's always good to expand the horizons...You are wonderful for hosting, regardless!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to resist challenges in the new year, but oooooo only three books!? I definitely want to read that many in the new year anyway, so.... hmmm....
ReplyDeleteOh temptation! I am really trying to stay away from too many challenges in the new year but I love graphic novels so I think I may have to join you guys in this one. I'll be posting about it soon.
