Read-a-thon
Dewey's 24-hour Read-a-thon is (almost) over.

Phew! I'm off to catch a few hours of sleep, even though it's now lunchtime here. Thank you so much, everyone. Thank you to all the participants, cheerleaders, prize donors, helpers, and to Trish and Hannah, who did an amazing job. If you didn't participate this time, well, there's always next time, which will be in October.
I missed Dewey a lot today. But I think we all did our best to make her proud.

And so to bed.

Oh sweetheart, THANK YOU!!!! You were utterly amazing!!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for Maxie to get home so he can see his buddy!
Wow! This all was an overwhelming success! Kudos to the three of you for organizing, coordinating, and facilitating this whole thing in memory of Dewey. She would have been proud of you and very moved. WELL DONE!

A huge hug goes out to you, Trish, and Hannah!! this was such a fun event and it was superbly run and organized!! You three deserve a lot of applause, love, chocolate and sleep!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great day - I loved being a cheerleader. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't able to participate this time, but I've had fun getting caught up on all the mini-challenges and updates everyone has been posting. Sounds like you all had a great time, and I can't wait for October! :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't participate, but I think you're right, everyone who did made Dewey proud.
ReplyDeleteYou guys did an awesome job. Congrats on a fun and successful read-a-thon!
ReplyDeleteYou gals did such an awesome job and thanks so much for putting it all together. Dewey would be proud!
ReplyDeleteYour kitties look exhausted but adorable. I love when they fold into themselves like that.
You did great! I really must cheer AND read in the fall. :)
ReplyDeleteNymeth, you all did such a fab job,I enjoyed myself immensely. All you hardwork is appreciated.
ReplyDeleteYou three gals did an amazing job. Dewey would be so pleased and honored by your efforts as am I. This was my first time as a reader (last time I was a cheerleader) and there was something so wonderful to feel connected to people all over the world doing the same thing--a solitary activity normally, but not solitary at all yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThank you for all your hard work--I know we all can say we appreciate it.
Rest well--and oh,your cats are adorable!

Have a long sleep - you deserve. I do hope to join you in October. I love your cats - they look exhausted! Well done again.
ReplyDeleteI love your cats! It's so nice that they are friends! Thank you so much for all your hard work in the read-a-thon. It seems that everyone really enjoyed it--I know I did! :)
ReplyDeleteYou are the bomb, Nymeth! Thanks for all you did to make this fun and for being a great host during the hardest hours of the event. I have no doubt Dewey has a big smile on her face.
ReplyDeleteYou all did a great job of hosting. :)
ReplyDeleteYou all did an amazing job! Congratulations on a wonderful read-a-thon. I will be reading next time:)
ReplyDeleteLovely kitties!
Thank you, thank you, all! You were AMAZING. The read-a-thon would be nothing without your enthusiasm! Forgive me for not replying to the comments one by one. Ai still be tired!
ReplyDeleteThe kitties: the boy is Pedrez, my faithful companion. The girl, with her head upside down, is Dia. She's a wee bit avoidant, but still very sweet in her own way.
It's funny - they do look tired, but they had spend the previous, oh, 10 hours sleeping like that :P cats have a way of doing that, lol.
Thank you so much for making this possible! I was an unofficial cheerleader. I am so grateful to get to know the other bloggers and that would not have been possible without your hard work. I will be excited for the next go around.
ReplyDeleteThanks to you, Trish, and Hannah for organizing this read-a-thon. I had fun catching up on my reads!
ReplyDeleteNymeth, thank you so much for all you did to make this Readathon happen! It was bittersweet, participating in my first Readathon after Dewey passed away, but you three totally made it come together beautifully. Dewey would be proud.
ReplyDeleteMy hat's off to you Nymeth! You did such an amazing job. Seriously, I don't think I would've made it as long as I did without you, lol. Thanks so much for everything!!! P.S....your cats are adorable :)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you all had fun cheering/reading! :D And kudos to you, Trish and Hannah for the great job!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I've passed you an award, Nymeth! Come on over!
Nymeth, you did a great job keeping the read-a -thon humming along! I hope you had a good sleep and congrats!
ReplyDeleteLove your kitties. Mine stayed with me most of the time, more so Morgaine who is my little mascot. Thanks for doing a great job co-hosting and I can't wait for the next one. Have talked Alex into joining in, but not sure he is man enough to last the distance!
ReplyDeleteNo apologising for not replying to everyone, Nymeth! That's completely understandable!
ReplyDeleteThey sound like gorgeous things. ^-^ Dia reminds me a bit of Miyu, but I think you may have mentioned that Miyu reminds you of her before...
I had to herd two of mine onto the bed with me in between to keep them from mock-fighting. *sigh* I am mostly definitely owned by a cat. But then that's why we love them so much, isn't it?
It was great! I had fun cheer-leading. I think I caught up on my sleep today! lol I hope, anyway!
ReplyDeleteI love how the kitties are cuddling! I hope Emmy and the new kitten will be so sweet with one another.
ReplyDeleteThank you SO MUCH for hosting this wonderful event and carrying on Dewey's legacy. I wasn't able to participate this time (although I did a bit of unofficial cheerleading) and can't wait for October to roll around. I'll be signing up to read for sure!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I really wish I was able to participate. I hope circumstances will be better in October. :)
ReplyDeleteAwesome job!!
Wisteria
Thank you so much and you were so so so amazing! *hugs*
ReplyDeleteSo sorry I missed this one, but it looks like everyone who participated had a great time! Also, looks like your kitties have the right idea!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on hosting such an awesome Read-a-Thon!! I did nothing except watch from the sidelines and surf blogs of all the participants, and the overwhelming response has made me determined to participate in the next one.
ReplyDeleteI'm so bummed out I missed it this year. I've been reading lots about it and it sounds like it was another great read-a-thon! Enjoy your much deserved rest :)
ReplyDeleteThey certainly look like they stayed up all night lol!
ReplyDelete♥
So cute! Well done, Ana!
ReplyDeleteCute kitties! Good work on the readathon! :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for all the wonderful work you put into the read-a-thon! It was perfect :)
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for sharing the photo of your gorgeous kitties. I love how cats rest in the most unusual positions while looking so peaceful :P
Your kitties are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteLast year I told myself I was going to join 2009's readathon. Then it happened, and I forgot to register, and I was at my parents' place in Malacca with only 2 books. :/ Next year, maybe? :D
Thanks for all you did to make the read-a-thon a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the pic of your kitties. They look so comfy! :)
