3 Challenges Completed

Books Read:

What's in a Name:
Favourite Books:
For the YA Challenge, Voices and One for Sorrow. And The Bromeliad and Black Maria. But they were all good. I really do love YA books. For What's in a Name, either Jane Eyre or King Rat. And for the Initials Challenge, Lady Chatterley's Lover.

Least Favourites:
Hmm... Inkheart, The Secret History of Moscow and The Enchanted Castle. I still enjoyed them, though. Just not quite as much as the others.

I have a lot of fun with all three challenges - thank you for hosting, Joy, Annie and Becky!

  1. Congratulations! I'm in 2 challenges and I'm not making much progress in either one of them. :(

  2. Holy mackerel! That's a lotta books. Congrats.

  3. Goodness! If only I were so prolific in my challenges.

  4. Congratulations on these challenges. Jane Eyre is definitely a great book!

  5. Way to go on completing these three challenges!!

I'm trying to get the A-Z challenge finished up. Q and X are my stumpers of course lol :)

  6. Congratulations on finishing those challenges. What an accomplishment!

  7. Wow! That's an impressive list of books! Congratulations on finishing 3 more challenges. You're inspiring!

  8. Congratulations on finishing these three challenges! That's a great list of books! I'm on my last for the What's in a Name challenge but I do have a couple others that most likely won't be completed. Oh well, they're fun all the same.

  9. wow, congratulations! thats great.
i'm reading Inkheart now and really enjoying it.

  10. Yay Nymeth!! I don't remember seeing the Initials Challenge--what a creative idea!

Rock on for finishing THREE challenges!!

  11. Congratulations, Nymeth!

As for me, with the recent completion of PAINT IT BLACK, I've completed the long-overdue "Unread Authors"...

And, also completed "Spring Reading Thing" challenge (I know it's no longer spring...):

The only ones left now are the "2008 TBR Challenge" and "What's in a Name" challenges. That's 10 books to be knocked off the list before the end of 2008. I hope I'll make it!

  12. Splendid list! Congratulations on finishing the three challenges (without even having to switch books, hahaha).

I've yet to read Black Maria (I think I started on that somehow but I keep misplacing my copy). Same with King Rat. Hahaha!

  13. Congrats! What an accomplishment! I'm only working on one challenge right now, and I'm not sure I'll finish in time. (It probably didn't help that I revised my challenge list and added a bunch of books LOL)

    Diary of an Eccentric

  14. Congrats on completing the challenges, Nymeth! You read a lot of books! Keep it up and looking forward for more! :D

  15. Congrats! I'm working on three challenges myself right now. One of which I completely forgot about for a while - and I only have to read two books for it! :)

  16. Awesome job!! I think I've read way more than the required 12 for the YA challenge...just not the 12 I started out trying to read!!

  17. Bermudaonion: Thanks! When do they end? There's still a month until the end of the year. And if you don't finish, ah well...fortunately there's no Challenge Police ready to bust us :P

Loren: They were year-long challenges, that's why.

Mariel: I plan on being less prolific next year :P I want my reading freedom back!

Chain Reader: It is! I'm so glad I read it at last.

Joanna: Yes, I imagine those to be hard!

Michellekae, Lezlie and Robin: Thanks :)

Tanabata: Yes, they are fun still. I'm struggling to finish the Booker Challenge before the end of the year. I have The Blind Assassin to read, and though I'm sure I'll enjoy it I'm not sure if I'm in the mood for a 700 pages book. But I decided not to be hard on myself if I don't finish. It was fun anyway.

Naida: Glad to hear it :)

Trish: It is, isn't it? And it gave me an excuse to read books I'd wanted to get to for ages.

Alice: Good luck! And like I was telling bermudaonion, remember that if you don't finish there is no challenge police to go after you :P

Lightheaded: I hope you find your copies, because both are books I think you'll like :)

Anna: I remember your very ambitious list :P Good luck!

    Melody: Thanks :D

Jessi: Good luck with those! I have two more to finish until the end of the year: The Booker and the Mythopoeic Challenges.

Stephanie: Ah well, what matters is that you read lots of YA books!

  18. Congratulations on completing 3 challenges!!!

  19. Awesome job Nymeth-congrats! PS-I mailed your book last week-not sure how long it will take to get to you-hopefully not too long.

  20. Congrats on finishing so many challenges. I am really pleased to see King Rat so high up on your list of books you enjoyed for them. However I am disappointed Inkheart was one you didn't like so much. I am hoping to read it next year as it sounds so good in principle. Will try to temper my expectations.

  21. Joy, thank you for hosting such great challenges!

Dar, thank you again :) I really, really appreciate it!

Rhinoa: I think that my high expectations were part of the problem with Inkheart. I still enjoyed it, and the good things about it were really, really good. It's just that I wanted to love it and didn't.

  22. Congratulations! Getting another 3 out of the way must feel goooood! :-)

  23. Congrats on completing your challenges - that's wonderful! I'm taking note of some of those YA titles as I'm starting to really get more into that genre :)
