Comments: I bet you thought I'd fallen asleep. But no! I was just too caught up in Fables to update. I finished Homelands and now I know who the Adversary is! Funny thing is, I got this total sense of deja-vu when it was revealed. So I wonder if it was actually revealed before and I'd forgotten, or if I read a spoiler somewhere.
After I was done with Fables, I finished the lovely Goodbye, Tsugumi. This book reminds me of Lightheaded. I wonder if that's because I know she likes it. But I think it's something about the writing.
I think this might be it as far as reading is concerned for me. My next co-hosting shift starts in an hour and a half, and I'm considering taking a quick nap before that. Did I mention it's almost 5:30am? Because IT IS. Also, above is a picture of my cat having a Sleep-a-thon. It was actually taken yesterday, but I swear he's in the exact same position right now.
Hmm... to take a nap, to visit my fellow readers, or to read a story from The Birds and Other Stories. We'll see.

ReplyDeleteCute cat. My kitten is clawing at my legs as I type this. He's proving to be a challenge to train.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I have a late posting challenge at my blog
http://www.readywhenyouarecb.blogspot.com/
It's a short story related challenge, which I see you've been reading today, so please stop by.
Enjoy
Oh my, any idea how much I want to curl up there with Pedrez for a nap?
ReplyDeleteYour kitty looks so comfy. Hmm, I think I'm ready for a sleep-a-thon right about now! haha...
ReplyDeleteI'm off to join your kitty in the sleep-a-thon. Good luck with the rest of the read-a-thon. Awesome job!!
ReplyDeleteI think there was a telling line or two in MARCH OF THE WOODEN SOLDIERS; maybe that's where the deja vu came from?
ReplyDeleteNymeth you are so awesome! 5:30? 680 is still a really great page number--that's pretty much what I did last time and I read the whole time! Actually--that might be more than I have now. My brain isn't working. :P
ReplyDeleteDoesn't seeing your cat like that make you want to go curl up?? so cuddley.
I can't believe how much you've read--especially since you are co-hosting! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your cat-nap! :)
You did awesome with your reading Nymeth! If you could read the full 24 hours, you'd kick all of our butts! So...tired..now, lol. I really need a second wind.
ReplyDeleteYour cat is super, super cute.

ReplyDeleteI hope your cat wins tons of prizes in the sleepathon!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you've enjoyed Fables so much. The adversary didn't really surprise me, either. I guess they kind of dropped hints and built up to it, so we knew who it was going to be. :)
ReplyDeleteoh, love the cat! Enjoy that nap and thanks for all the visits, Care
ReplyDeleteI just took a picture of Jiro in a similar position. Will post it later. Thanks for all you did today! :)
ReplyDeletegoodness.. at my age it would take me a week to become "normal" again.. I never did well being up all night even when I way young! lol..good to hear you enjoyed the read a thon!
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! to you Nymeth :} I only made it until 3:30am then the pages blured, this morning I have a killer migrain and I am going back to sleep. Like deslily I have always had a hard time staying up all night, I'd become shaky in the morning, of course when I was 20 it was easier :P
ReplyDeleteGo to sleep :}
Awesome job!! Congrats! One of these years, I'll get a chance to read along too. Till then, I'm glad you read this time!!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to come back later and check out the post-read-a-thon commentary and see how much you read!
You have done so awesome Nymeth. I'm so proud of you. The pic of your cat should be framed. It's so beautiful and he's just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the encouragement, everyone! I can't tell you how much I appreciated it.
ReplyDeleteOh dear, I just read this post. I'm sure you had fun with the Read-A-Thon (sleepy am sure but fulfilled nonetheless).
ReplyDeleteOh glad you liked Yoshimoto's book. Glad you now know who the Adversary is :) For me the fourth volume was a major hint :P
